Describe the opportunities offered to EasyJet using internet marketing in relation to Communication
Through internet communication EasyJet has the opportunity to present their services in details together with substance supporting information. Once all this is done, then they will be able through this opportunity to collect information about their customers and get database about their clients. So it helped them to promote their services online.

Through the use of their own website www.easyjet.com they will be able to let customers make online booking. Also to let them know all offers they have. In addition to that they also let them know if they are flying now to new destinations. Through the website all the customer can contact EasyJet through mailing. Also if customers make online booking then it will be cheaper than booking the ticket somewhere else. They also use internet communication to build relationships with their customers, competitors and everyone. They also keep track of their CRM records: customer’s visits, sales responses, respond to customers and manage e-mails.

As a customer you will be able to register/log in on the website of EasyJet to get a clear overview of your booking and also if you need any further information. So they actually personalise their page.

You can very easy notify their website, because of the orange colour, also from the easy name: EasyJet.

Below you read some examples of how EasyJet uses their website for communication:
Ø      Customers are given a PIN number for each order on the web site which they give when they get to the airport.
Ø      The Internet is important to EasyJet since it helps it to reduce running costs, important for a company where each passenger generates a profit of only £1.50. Savings to EasyJet made through customers booking online enable it to offer at least £1 off to passengers who book online – this is part of the online proposition. Online buyers also benefit from paying the price of a local call, instead of the standard national rate of easy Jet’s booking line.
Ø      A later five-week promotion within The Times and The Sunday Times newspapers offered cheap flights to a choice of all EasyJet destinations when 18 tokens were collected. In total, 100,000 seats were sold during the promotion, which was worth more than £2m to the airline. Thirty per cent of the seats were sold online, with the rest of the transactions being completed by phone; 13,000 orders were taken over the Internet in the first day alone with over 15,000 people on the site at one point.
Ø      The web site also acts as a PR tool. Haji-Ioannou uses its immediacy to keep newspapers informed about new promotions and offers by phoning and e-mailing journalists and referring them to the web site rather than faxing.

REDO:

Redo:
-          It gives EasyJet in both B2B and B2C markets the chance to develop new communication practise.
-          It allows EasyJet to present their service (flights) and gives details about it, like flight time/check in dates.
-          It captures data about customers like their name/address/e-mail address and telephone number.
-           Through internet marketing their can build a data base
-          The can offer their client a personalised webpage.
-          Through internet marketing EasyJet will be able to send details and news about their flights.
-          Through it they can also build a relationship with their customers, through offering them cheap flights.
-          The communication between business parties will be effective. Like between EasyJet and other travel agency, where you can book an EasyJet ticket.

Describe the opportunities offered to EasyJet using internet marketing in relation to Product Development

Through online product development the customer no longer need to waste their time and go to travel agencies to book. Also EasyJet through this strategy will be able to get more customers and increase their sales.
EasyJet website is available 24/7 anywhere and anytime, all what you need is internet connection.
On their website you can find pictures of their airplanes. Also on www.google.com you can find pictures about EasyJet and employees outfit.

Below you find a podcast of EasyJet
http://www.tipsfromthetlist.com/33250.html
Through market development EasyJet launched their website and start making sales all over Europe.
EasyJet sale tickets immediately.
Also internet allowed EasyJet to e-mail customers and provide them with holiday deals and gives them information’s about it. Also they answers customers e-mails and complains.

Redo:
-          The website will be available 24/7 this has an advantage for EasyJet, because so they might get more customers, than if they has a travel agency with restrict opening hours.
-          They can reach a lot of customers the world
-          It is not expensive for them, cheaper than having own travel agency, because they will have less expenses, like less employees and that will safe them more money.

Describe the opportunities offered to EasyJet using internet marketing in relation to Business efficiency

Through the increasing availability in web gives business of all kinds of opportunity to speed up their interactions with suppliers and customers.
EasyJet doesn’t really have a complete supply chain, because they are the one who supply seats to their customers and there’s a disintermediation, because they don’t have travel agency and they don’t plan to have or to sell their tickets through travel agencies. Because they will save more if customers will book online or through calling EasyJet. This supply chain is much shorter, because when the payment is made the seat is mostly guaranteed, all the booking can be made in a short time, from you home.
Also through the use of internet marketing stretagy they improve sales and enter compeltley new service. With new services I mean flying to new distinations. Through the internet strategy they improve their sales, because if you book online they will give you a discount of 2.5 British pound for a single faire. This way will attract customers and let them book online. And so they will sale more sales[1] and make profit.
Also through internet they are able to monitor the activity of their competitors, they can buy researches and information about them (all those information are available online). But EasyJet is ahead of their competitors (ryanair), they provide better services although EasyJet flight prices are bit higher than Ryanair prices. Better most customers are willing to pay more pounds in return to get better services.

As mentioned in the beginning of P3 EasyJet also promotes online.
They also use the Links methods. The used method is the Affiliate links, because when I enter www.easyjet.com I see on the right side of the website some companies (insurance companies/hotel agency), when I click on the advertisement I be transferred to their website. When I search on the website I can’t find any information about EasyJet. So I think EasyJet placed those links so when customers click on it they receive money.
Also they promote through Search Engines. Try to type flight tickets london Gatwick.

[1] In March 2000 EasyJet increased its online discount to £2.50 for a single trip – a higher level of permanent discount than any other airline. By September 2000, Internet sales reached 85% of total sales. Since this time, the growth in proportion of online sales has decreased. By 2003, over 90% of all Sales were online.

As mentioned in P2 there are a lot of benefits for the customer to shop online.
The benefits are:
Ø      The compensation of prices between many potentials suppliers.
Also there are some websites where they will compare the prices of products for you. Most of the website they do have price transparency on their web pages.

This is a great advantage for the customer, because we don’t need now to visit more stores and find out which store is the cheapest and waste a lot of time. Many websites offers this opportunity to customers, but you also can use other website that is made for this purpose.

Ø The customer doesn’t get the chance to touch or smell the products, but the website offers detailed information about the products. They also get the opportunity to check specifications and make quickly e-mail contact with staff. Beside that the transaction process is quickly completed.
The information they get is: price, description of the features, colors swatches, images, drawings and promotional deals. Usually through purchasing online customer get more discounts and some products are exclusively sold online.

Ø      Customer can give their opinion about the product easily, because most websites offer forums where you can do that.
Beside the forum some website does offer chat, where you can chat directly with other consumers about the products.

Ø      Through dynamic pricing the customer can get cheap prices.
Some businesses are able to provide us much cheaper prices online. They do that because they save money somewhere else. We benefit from this, because we will pay less and also then we don’t need to pay for transportation/parking if you have to go to the store. Example; e-booker, skyscanner and other websites.

Ø      As mentioned above it is easy to make transaction and also it is safe in some websites.
Website are making it easy for customer to purchase online and pay online, because before it was if you purchase online then you just can pay with visa, master or American express cards, but now we also can pay with IDEAL, which is surely save and easy to pay.

Ø      You can visit a website 24/7 and find FAQ and also contact the website if you have any question or need a help.
Usually shop opens from 9.00 am till 18.00 pm after that time you can do any shopping also you don’t have to worry about public holidays and Sunday’s. But through the use of internet you can shop 24/7 whenever you want to.
So from now if everyone will do online shopping then we won’t have any worries of going to stores and wait till they open. Below you see H&M opening hours, they also sell goods online.

Ø      Also it is easy to make complains, mostly digitally. You also get fast reaction on complain you made.
It is important for us as customer to be able to share our opinion and complain about a product, because so we won’t experience that again.

Ø      Customer is kept up-to-date through e-mail or website. If a website launched new products then they will show it on their website or they will e-mail the customer.
Once you have ordered online, then you will receive e-mails from the website and updating you about their offers, sales and about their new products.

Ø      You can also track your purchase. You usually get a tracking code, where you can track your purchase.
A lot of websites allow their customer to track their purchase, dispatch to transportation before the products delivered to their home address. This way reassure the consumer and makes them feel that they are obtaining a good online service.

What is Internet Marketing?
Internet marketing is the marketing of products/services on the internet (so selling them on a website). It helps business to deliver their strategies. The consumer is the one who can choose to visit the website. The marketing message is delivered on one-to-one basics.
How does Internet Marketing integrate with the 4 P’s and / or the 7 P’s?
Products: you put all your product on the website and try to sell it to your target group.
Price: the organisation will choose a pricing method. You have to do a lot of research before pricing, because the customer can get easily to price comparing with other organisations.
Place: the place will be build a website and put your products on and start selling
promotion: this is an important part in internet marketing, because it is also about how to promote your product. They have to make sure to attracts customer attention ad makes them buy the product, that can through providing more colours of a products or advertise more. Also special offers are great way.
People: this can be the customer service, who will respond to customers questions or companies.
Processes: delivery dates, how customer services responsive to customer questions and how quickly they answer, but also how long does it take to answer the questions and do something with customers complain or recommendations.
Physical evidence: the look you give to your website and this will be printed in customers head. Also the service you deliver to them.
Does Internet Marketing contribute to or highlight the need for effective identification of new product / market development opportunities?
Internet marketing is so important for marketing new products and promotes it. There are a lot of ways to do that and it is also easy, because of the possibilities we have nowadays with internet marketing. Through the possibilities of the Data Mining, because you as a business will get a lot of needed information about you customers and also if there is a market for your products all those contributes in highlighting a product. In addition to that advertising on other website is also contributing highlighting a product. Through setting up a website you will be able to put videos, pictures and make the page more personalized to your customers, also you can put a lot of information. Also you can put linked items to you products. Or make special colors and see if there is a market for this. Also through advertising products on other website and putting forum on their on website where customer can react and give their opinion about products.
Also through the use of social network like Hyves, Twitter and Facebook business can show off their new products/services. The offered products/services can be seen by everyone who has account. They put videos or picture of their products, when click on it then you will be transferred to their website.
How does Internet Marketing help towards the achievement of Business objectives?
First of all the objectives should be measurable, achieveable, realistic and time-related (SMART). Secondly Internet marketing allows business to know what their customers needs is. Also it helps them to know ways of improvements and producing methods, and developments. Besides that also helps them to know their weaknesses and strengths.

Does Internet Marketing enable more effective targeting and segmentation? Can you describe some examples?
Internet marketing does enable more effective targeting and segmentations, because through marketing research you can identify the needs of the customers.
Segmentation is you divide a group within the overall market that has the same characteristics.
The different varieties of segmentations are:
Demographicà is to know how many internet customer they will be.
For example: it won’t be so clever if you will market your website in Africa, because the most countries there are so poor, that they don’t have enough money to eat. For sure then they won’t have access to the internet.
Psychographicàuses lifestyle and personal characteristics as a way of segmentations.
For example: young people use MSN, Blackberry messenger and whatsApp when they use the internet. Other group: old people who uses internet just to do researches or read books.
Economicà is to know where in which country to sell you products. It is not clever to sell products in third world countries, because they are so poor, that they wont be able to buy your products.
Usage-basedà this allows website owners to see how the internet is being used in different part of the world. From this data you can know to which country you need to focus selling your products.
For example: if you go on
www.clickz.com then you will get all the information about internet users in a certain country. Even you get the gender of the most internet users.

What is ‘disintermediation’ and does it help producers? Explain how.
Disintermediation is the opposite of intermediate. Disintermediation means to remove the middle men in the process of goods between original manufacture and consumer. So you remove the unneeded intermediates, because some products can be shipped directly to customers.
As an example I will take E-Bay.com. This is an internet business. They sell all kind of products online and they don’t have any store.
For the process of products been shipped directly to customer from the website, there is no need for an intermediate. Because there’s no need for a store where the goods have to be sold in and that the customer will go there and buy it. No in the case of disintermediation the goods will be shipped directly to the consumer.
The disintermediation is used often on selling goods online.
It does help the producers, because it will safe them time and money.

The benefits of internet marketing to business.
It has a lot of benefits for organisations and some of them are hiding, but below I will outline some benefits:
Ø      Tax breaksà you write are a lot of costs off, especially when your business is based at home.
Ø      Low start-up costsàa simple website will costs a few hundred Euros, but when you start up a business that will cost more.
Ø      High profit marginàyour costs will be low, so you will keep more money.
Ø      Market for little or no moneyàsometimes you can put you advertisements on other website and they do the same on your website (all for free). Also you can submit free ads. In addition to that you can also e-mail you offers to people for free.
Ø      You keep all the money you labour produces.
Ø      Your business is then opens 24/7 all over the world.
Ø      Time freedom, you decide when to work and when to build your website as a business.
